Benjamin Bertch’s practice focuses on prosecution of personal injury claims in various contexts, including wrongful death, premises liability, auto accidents, and products liability. He also has broad experience successfully litigating claims in a variety of additional contexts, including claims for unfair competition, violation of consumer protection laws, misappropriation of trade secrets, fraud, breach of contract, violation of right of publicity, copyright, trademark, nuisance, trespass, conversion, and more. He brings a unique perspective to his cases, having spent the first part of his career defending claims on behalf of insurance companies. This insider experience, coupled with deep knowledge of both civil procedure and substantive law, enables Benjamin to level the playing field and keep the defense honest during the course of the litigation.
Benjamin earned his juris doctorate degree from Chapman University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2015. During law school, he competed on the school’s moot court team, served on the law review as a senior articles editor, and worked as a judicial extern for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Benjamin completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, where he made the Dean’s List each year and earned a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in classical piano performance in 2011.
In his free time Benjamin enjoys chess, sport climbing, yoga, running, golf, piano, guitar, and spending time with his wife and family.
